Discounted–Even Free–Services for Seniors
You can qualify for low-cost or no-cost services ranging from prescriptions to internet. You might even find some reported by Aging Care to be surprising.
- Even with Medicare Part D, prescription drugs can still be costly. But programs are out there to help. Check with the Partnership for Pharmaceutical Assistance (created by biopharmaceutical companies). Also find help through the Pharmaceutical Assistance Program, and state and county programs.
- A federal government program helps low-income consumers with discounted phone or internet services. Look at the federal Lifeline program.
- Dentures are necessary but can cost a lot. But help is out there. Check with your Area Agency on Aging for leads on where you might get discounted or even free dentures.
